Members in Good Standing with the Local 230 Members’ Benefit Fund and Plan can now make self payments online through their financial institutions.
Should your benefit coverage terminate because you are laid off or are not working sufficient hours to keep your benefits active or you are a retiree eligible to apply for and pay for retiree coverage, you can continue to keep you and your eligible dependents covered without having to leave through online bill payments with your financial institution.
It’s as simple as paying a bill from the comfort of your home.
When making your self payments online, payments must be made on a continuous basis – breaks in coverage are not permitted. Payments will be accepted up to a maximum of 12 consecutive months in advance. Self payments by cheque will continue to be accepted as well.
Processing time of payments could take up to 48 hours so please ensure payments are made by the 20th of each month for continuous benefit coverage for you and your dependents.
